Peterborough Junior Championship – 24 June 17
We arrived at Peterborough at around 7:30 as the gates were opening. We immediately started rigging the boats and preparing, as our first race in the J15 quad with Tom Sayer, Joe Stacy, Andreas Tilds and Sam Gale was Race No 3 was at 8:50. In the race we came a good third, but only the first two went through to the semi final. It was good result considering that two of the crew were actually J14s!
Then a few hours later me and Andreas raced the 1 Kilometre lake in a J14 double. We came second, which sent us through to the semi finals. We enjoyed a watching the other races for a while, but the time soon came for us to boat again and row up to to the start line for the semi. We had a great start, but slowly fell behind, coming fourth in the end.
Overall, it was a great effort from all the Star crews that raced, and a massive thanks to the coaches who organised and arranged it for us.
